Introducing Our New After-School Theater Program!

Las Palmas Elementary is excited to announce a new partnership with Beach Cities Verve Arts to bring an after-school theater program to our students! This partnership pairs our school with experienced theater educators to give kids a fun, creative outlet to build confidence, collaboration, and performance skills.

This fall, we're kicking things off with two exciting classes:

Bilingual Improv — A playful, fast-paced improv class conducted in both English and Spanish, helping students build language skills, quick thinking, and confidence on stage while having a blast with games and scenes. Beginning 9/11- classes will run for 8 weeks from 2:20-3:20

Matilda Play Production — Students will work together to bring Roald Dahl's beloved story to life, learning the ins and outs of a full stage production — from acting and blocking to teamwork behind the scenes — culminating in a performance for family and friends. Beginning 9/4- classes will run for 11 weeks from 2:20-4:50 with performances on November 13th and 14th.
